#RightTrack is a community-led movement of people. We're having powerful conversations and taking local action to shift community attitudes and advocate for safety, fairness and freedom for people seeking asylum.

Under the #RightTrack banner, a wide range of community groups, individuals and member-based NGOs are working together in partnership to organise the Australian community into a powerful movement for change.

#RightTrack involves two key strategies:

    1. People having personal, powerful, values-based conversations with friends, family and the community about the rights and dignity of people seeking asylum. These conversations are based on research-driven approaches and tools that are effective in changing attitudes; and
    2. Local groups self-organising and taking action to engage their elected member of parliament to ensure our politicians hear a loud and clear message for safety, fairness and freedom for people seeking asylum.

Getting on the #RightTrack is up to all of us!

Getting on the #RightTrack means working alongside people seeking asylum and diverse communities from all sides of politics to frame a conversation where our values guide the way we treat each other.

Getting on the #RightTrack means creating a system that assesses people’s cases for asylum fairly, offering permanent protection, and which treats people with dignity and respect while living in our communities.

Join with us as we work together to create a shared future with people seeking asylum that is guided by fairness, dignity and decency.

There are many ways to get involved:

      • Sign up with a pledge to get involved, so you can hear about events and actions in your area

      • Get training in best-practise messaging and how to hold powerful, personal, values-based conversations that shift community attitudes

      • Host a conversation with four or five friends who are open to learning more about the asylum process

      • Join (or lead!) a delegation to meet your local MP to advocate for safety, fairness and freedom for people seeking asylum

      • Attend a public event or action to build community support for the campaign.

The #RightTrack community includes:
